DPDP Compliance
The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP) is India’s landmark legislation governing the processing of digital personal data. This page explains how The Eminent Verse Hub complies with your rights under the DPDP.
Scope and Applicability
The DPDP applies to the processing of digital personal data within India. While The Eminent Verse Hub does not collect personal data through user registration or accounts, it may inadvertently process limited digital personal data through automated means such as web server logs, analytics tools, and cookies used for site functionality and traffic analysis. This data is processed solely for operational and analytical purposes.
Your Rights Under DPDP
Under the DPDP, you have the following rights:
- Right to access your digital personal data processed by us
- Right to correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Right to erasure of your data
- Right to grievance redressal if you believe your rights have been violated
- Right to nominate another individual to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity
How We Comply
We do not store personal data in databases or user profiles. Any data collected automatically (e.g., IP addresses, browser type, usage patterns) is anonymized and aggregated for analytical purposes. We do not sell, share, or transfer personal data to third parties except for essential service providers (e.g., analytics platforms) who are contractually bound to comply with DPDP requirements.
Data We Process
The only digital personal data we may process includes:
- IP addresses (temporarily logged for security and analytics)
- Browser and device information (for site optimization)
- Usage patterns via anonymous analytics tools
This data is never linked to your name, phone number, email, or other identifiers unless voluntarily provided through a contact form.
Legal Basis for Processing
Our processing of digital personal data is based on:
- Legitimate interest — to ensure site functionality, security, and performance
- Consent — where cookies or tracking tools require prior opt-in under DPDP guidelines
How to Exercise Your Rights
To exercise your rights under the DPDP, please send a request to our Data Protection Contact:
- Email: [email protected]
- Subject line: “DPDP Request”
- Include your name and the specific right you wish to exercise
We will respond to your request within 30 days. If additional verification is needed, we may request minimal identifying information to prevent unauthorized access.
Response Timeframes
Under the DPDP, we are required to respond to your request within 30 days. In exceptional cases, we may extend this by an additional 15 days and will notify you of the delay with reasons.
No Discrimination Policy
We will not deny you access to our content, charge you fees, or provide inferior service because you exercised your rights under the DPDP.
Updates and Changes
We will update this page if our data practices change or if the DPDP regulations are amended. Any material changes will be notified via a banner on our homepage and the effective date will be clearly marked.
